Dhorje Lama (Roger)
Arriving in New York in 2000 from a small village in Nepal named JomSom to stay with relatives, Roger quickly went to work learning the intricacies of several local and foreign cuisines.
In 2002, he arrived in Tampa to expand his passion for preparing culinary masterpieces in many cultural cuisines, priding himself on taste and presentation.
His food service experience now encompasses Indian, Nepalese, Thai, Tibetan and Japanese cuisines, obtained in various restaurants over an eight-year period. The last five of these years have been spent perfecting the art of Japanese Teppanyaki food preparation at Sushi Tsu.
Attention to details, practice and hard work have now earned him promotion to Head Chef at Sushi Tsu, and his experience has expanded into the more traditional styles of Japanese kitchen cuisine as well as the entertaining art of Teppan on the flat griddle.
Roger speaks five languages fluently; sorry, English isn’t one of them.

His hobbies include tennis whenever the weather is right, and hiking.
